rules and regs, and red tape

I have just been watching Casualty, and for once the story line makes sense.  For once it is not about which doctor is sleeping with a certain nurse.  No it is taking on the the bureacracy and stupid government targets set by a bunch of civil servants who lets face it dont live in the real world, and set stupid targets.

This is across the board and many departments are going to be made to be self financing.  So the enforcement agencies are going to be going out and picking on the easy targets, to get the fines in so they can finance these totalitarian organisations.

Now you put all the rules red tape and targets together and you get alot of contradiction,   To achieve the targets you have to bend some rules, which puts the pressure on the operatives at ground level, causing them to leave that profession, through stress, and sheer frustration.

Lets look at health, now some departments have to have a high turnover of patients so those there is not a backlog of beds.  You have doctors spending more time filling in endless reams of paperwork rather than looking after the patients.

In schools the pupils are just figures on a spreadsheet, and no wonder so many are being failed by the system.  The kids are not figures on a spreadsheet, they are individuals with separate needs, the schooling system is conditioning for later in life.  designed to instill discipline into their lives, but how can discipline be instilled when due to medelling and bureacracy people are afraid to say anything to those who cause trouble, why to they cause trouble, because the system that is educating them is not stimulating them in the right and productive way for that individual.

Then we have the industries affected by red tape, where there are directives for that and directives for that, and to properly function you have to bend rules, and the way the rules are written leads to differant interperations.  I will give you an example,  As all seasoned reader will know I work in the coach industry.  now go to a coach park where there are say 30 coaches and if you go round and ask the drivers about rules and regs and you are going to get 30 different answers, and there are so many grey areas and confusion, it sometime makes to question is it all worth it.

Humans are individuals with different capabilities and abilities,  we all have a different way of making sense and understanding things.  I try to look out of the box and analyse things.  I also hate systems that expect us to behave machine like, and if your opinion is different then you are an outcast.

Now I dont subscribe to conspiracy theories, what is the point, but I dont expect to be made to behave as a cog in a machine.  Life is full of mavericks and it is the mavericks who make the changes for better or worst, and I respect those people, be it the inventors, scientists and political leaders who yearn for change to make it a better world.  We live in hope.  Yes I hate unnecessary red tape, corruption.  I also hate legislated manipulation instigated by mass media, which spreads propaganda.  To know the truth you have to look at both sides and tape information from alternative sources.  Yes I am anti establishment but I dont want to smash the state, far from it.

Lets look at Israel, which was given to the jews after world war 2, because the western world felt guilty for the mass genocide caused by Hitler.  but what they are doing in Gaza, is no better than the Nazis who persecuted them.  Humans are naturally distructive.

So  rant over TTFN
