Cut backs cut backs and more cutbacks Thurs 31st March 2011

Right, I have been following the news recently and it looks like there are to be cutbacks in Derbyshire with bus services and library services.  So people who cant drive and use the internet suffer.

The intentions are good, but, as a nation we are chasing our tails.  or even fire fighting.  you cut back one thing, which affects lots of other things and all you do is juggle.  Lets face it, the nation is f**ked, and it is now good blaming the previous adminstration.  the problem as gone on for years, and we have all played a part.  How many use credit cards?  well the nation has been doing this for many years, and living beyond its means,  So the Defence is being cut, which will leave the country wide open.

Now I personally believe it is time we said to the banks, right you greedy bunch of wankers, cut back on your bonuses for a couple of years and help get the country going again.  but It will not happen.  The government needs to control, and the best way is make austerity, force people in to debt, Now banks are perfectly happy to throw money at you when times are good, but when the shit hits the fan, they dont want to know.  interest rates are altered for their benefit, but try getting something out of them when times are tough.

Industry has been moved abroad because labour rates are cheaper, so our economy suffers,  Fuel prices have been sky high recently it has doubled in the last 10 years, but to lower it would get the economy going again, The wankers in government dont want that because they would lose out on tax, but who will pay the taxes when we are all on the dole, because industry has been shut down due to recession.  Yes it is a noble attempt, but in the wrong way.  I will be interested to see the results of the forthcoming council elections, and I will be voting independantly, simply because I have no faith in the mainstream,  They probably go to the same lodge.

When I was learning about marketing one thing I was taught was the greed factor, this is very true, because everyone wants something for nothing, I will give you an example,

There was a coach company, who registered a service to take advantage of the free travel for concession holders, and It took off, maybe a bit too well.  Telephone calls went along the lines of when does the free pensioner bus to the coast go?   No what is wrong?  well the words free and pensioner, which implies that it is only for them,  now argue that in a discrimination case, but anyway,  the bus became swamped, and some were going for the sake of it.  Well they are getting on and want some pleasure from life.

This affect the cash sales, because people with families, who didnt have a car, couldnt afford the train fare were being turned away, because the bus was swamped,  Now bus companies have to wait for the returns on concessions,  the cash is instant for a bus company, end of the day bills have to be paid, the bus needs fuel, the driver needs paying etc.  So the cashfares turned down, affected the cashflow of the bus company.

Some companies have actually come out of the concession schemes because of this.  Anyway, when the families were on the coach, a very small number of the concession holders resented the fact that they were on the coach, as it was there for them to go to the coast for free.  I found this offensive, because the word bus originates from the word omnibus, which is basically Latin for "for all".  The service was really a victim of its own success, but anyway, the free travel was basically a carrot dangled by the government of the time, in a way to persuade them to vote for them, but that backfired didnt it,

All top politicians are the same, IE self serving bastards, the good ones are usually the back benchers who fight for the constituents.  If Cameron, Osbourne and the rest of the public school tossers want us to cut back, then they should lead by example, and cut back on things.    Rant over  TTFN

Political correctness is a load of Bollocks

Right, there have been quite a few things that have really got up my nose recently, the main thing is all this political correctness, ie denying people to right to speak their minds just incase it may happen to upset someone.  Some people say I am not politically correct, but it is due to the point I speak my mind, but so what, as I often say, if you dont like what I put in these blogs then dont read.

Its like Mary Whitehouse going to see Roy Chubby Brown, seeing the show, listening to the crude jokes, then being disgusted, and complaining that she found the show offensive,  absolutely no need.  Dont watch it if it offends you.  By the same tolken, a load of white supremists having a reading of Mein Kampf, then going out and causing trouble, well that is bad.

How often have you been making a cup of coffee, when asking how do you like it, and some one says "white", then you get someone else saying "you cant say that it is racist",  what utter bollox.  Colour is only an issue because people have made it that way.  everyone has the same capabilities, and underneath we all bleed red.

Most of the race cases involve a white person being in the wrong, but racism goes alot further, it is only that people dont notice, or want to live in ignorance  And as for all these fat overweight people who dont work and moan the foreigners are taking all the jobs, all I can say is get off your fat arses and go and do those jobs no one else wants to do.  It is a common fact these people keep the country going to a degree, ok the immigration will visit a few places and send people back, but by and large we need them.

So what else is wrong, well parents cars and schools,  I drive buses and coaches, and as you can imagine most of my days will involve a school run.  I am paid to safely get those kids to school,  infact, it is my legal responsibilty to ensure they get to the school gates.  How the hell can I do that when I cant get anywhere near, because the place is full cars, driven by parents who live just round the corner!.
When I was a kid I either went on the bus, or I walked, and on the way I would meet my mates, and we would talk about what we saw on tv the night before.  Walking to school with your mates was part of growing up and engaging in social interaction.  No wonder there are so many social problems,  the parents drive them 100yd to school then allow them to sit in a room with the curtains shut, whilst having a simulated slaughterfest courtesy of the PS3,  Isnt society great yippeeeeee.  That last thing was sarcasim, something people dont understand anymore.

Whilst I am talking about buses and schools, you have the school trip(sadly possibly to become a thing of the past with all these cuts  thank you Cameron and Osbourne you tossers),.  Now on these school trips you have to have so many kids per helper, (who has to undergo CRB check), plus a risk assessment has to be done, seatbelts worn etc.  Now this applies between 9am and 3:30pm monday to friday.  So the end of the school day, then a lone bus driver, has to look after 30+ kids, keep them in order, make sure they are safe and drive the vehicle, while all round there are other road users to contend with, weather conditions to take note of, so where is the risk assessment?  No out of sight out of mind once the day has ended at school.

Race relation issues are only issues if make them that way, walk round any city and you will find areas with large numbers of Afro Carribeans Hindu's Muslims Polish, Latvian and so on !!!.  Most of the racism actually goes on amongst these communities, leading to gang culutre, which has gone on since time began, and problems.  People need to learn to intergrate, but no some areas are technically no go areas.  We are all humans and we share a very small insignificant planet, which we all call home.

Now how many people can hold there hands up and say they are not prejudiced?  Thought so,  We all have our own prejucices, I have mine, and well why beat about the bush,  this world is totally full of hypocracy, and crap like that.

England is a very weak country, we once had a mighty empire, under the rule of the royal family, ( a family who took the country by force and claimed it as there own, nearly a 1000 years ago), but it has all been given back, One colony we were given on a lease, only to develop it in to a leading place of commerce, then we hand it over to another nation so they can reap the reward.  what muppets.  We are dictated to by the USA, the EU.  Blair was basically Bushes lap dog, and I bet he still has the brown marks on his nose.  We are the only nation who follows every EU directive to the letter, then wonder why we all get wrapped up in directives and laws to the point od strangulation.  Oh yes why does the EU make up stupid impossible laws which are not worth the paper they are written on, but confuse the fuck out of us?  simple,  it justifies there existance.  That is my rant over.  and Bollocks to them all !!!     TTFN

27thMarch 2011, A week of going to a chocolate factory

So it has been a few days since my last blog, well what have I been up to?, Well after my day off, which was put to good use, taking some photo's for my portfolio, er sorry newly established flickr site, and catching up with my good friend Mr Bramley at the Vat and Fiddle.

Well nearly 100 pictures had been taken on that day, and 3 pints drunk,  I must admit the bar maid was nice, but I am not in the market, even though she smiled and kept looking in my direction.

Tuesday was just a day of school runs, and yard.  I spent the day sorting the Scania out ready for its 2 days of outings.

Wednesday after my school run and I was off to Cadbury's World along with a colleague.  As it was my first visit I had a wander round after having some scoff.
Well the walk round involved lots of interactive things designed for the kids, with a couple of choccy bars handed out as you walk in followed by another half way round.  where you see the packing process. I made referances to umpalumpas which made the other driver crease with laughter.  I made a return visit the following day.

So what else has gone on?  Well we have had the budget and the government lowered the price of fuel by a penny.  The fuel companies on the eve of the budget raised the prices by a penny, so no real benefit.  The crafty bastards eh?

To top it off there was the TUC march in London and a couple of anachists where giving cries of battle on you tube, to storm Parliament and Buckingham Palace.  But I dont think it will happen.  There were some clashes, but by and large it went well.  I think the protest was a firm message to the Government that by and large the people are not happy.  But they are only the people who elect the tossers in, we have some local elections coming up, and I think that we will learn about the try opinion.

One last note dont forget to fill in your census forms, give the CIA the info they need, or you will be fined.  It is bad that the company that is contracted to collate the information just happens to be a large US arms company.  What that bloody hell is wrong?  The questions are going in to everything, bar how many times we go to the toilet.  The £1000 fine thing is interesting, well it is a good way to control the people,  basically telling them do what we say or we will hurt you financially.  I suppose one way to beat the system is give the form to an 8 year old and tell them to write what they want, or fill the form in whilst pissed up, both ways will give some interesting answers and confuse the CIA. woohoo.

Monday 21st march 2011

Ok, I dont know how to top last nights blog, I suppose you listen to things, and something just clicks,  I suppose I have been watching quite a few programmes by professor Brian Cox, and how he describes things is mind blowing.  It puts things in to perspective, and you look at the conficts that go off, and yes it makes you think that we all live on a small world. anyway if you missed the blog, then have a read of last nights outburst, sorry blog.

I was busy photographing today, and managed to see one of the coaches I was driivng until last year.  I must admit it didint sound in good health, shame it was a nice coach in its time.  but hey hoe.  I took quite a good selection, today, but alas I am back at work tomorrow lets see what this week brings.  Cant think of anything else so I will go, TTFN

Sunday March20th 2011

Ok, we live on a relatively small planet, that circles a smallish star, which is a small part of one of many galaxies.  We are a mere atom, on a grain of dust in a very large desert,  Beyond this world there are many unknowns, which we will never know about, yet to many of us the universe centres around us, or so we think.  So when people go on about the illuminati, freemasons, and other organisations that threaten our existence, they wish to control something insignificant.  We are insiginificant, yet, we are are all valuable as people.

Still with me,  Ok our planet has gone through many differant changes in its life, with lots of differant life forms before us, and maybe one day we will become extinct and be relplaced.  The planet will undo the damage we as a specie have caused to the planet, I know it will take millions of years, but it has happened before. with the end of the Jurassic age.  Now saying this I am not wishing to offend anyone with religious views, I respect those views,.  I suppose to understand things, you have to look at things in a differant way.  Does God live on a cloud or is god amongst us?  We all have different view points on this one, and my views may differ from those of others.

I know reading in to the past that empires and tyrannies do not last, they fizzle out and implode, or something else replaces them, one example is the Roman empire, the Mongols, the British empire, Nazi germany,  where they now??  In the case of a dictatorship, the dictator becomes powermad and obsessed that people are out to get them so they have death squads who do the dirty work, but it comes to the point when the Oppressor will be overthrown by the people in the form of a revolution.  If the so called New world Order was to come in, it would be only a matter of time before the people revolt and took action, after all it has happened in the past, will continue to happen,  I liken it to a pack of animals, where the leader, gets to old lead, and is driven from the pack.  It is natural.

I suppose I may be reading too much in to things or have seen lots of horrors, that are pumped into our homes by the media at night, and believe me after a hard day at work all you want to do is chill out, spend time with the loved ones.  But bad news is good news to the media, Bombed people sell stories, poverty keeps the printing machines turning.  I also wonder what is instore for the next generation?  Who knows.

So I have been on this planet now for just over 33 years, seen lots of technological changes, such as computers,  also media, with the advent of the internet, which means that stories which were hushed up years ago are now brought to the masses by the click of a button.

We need subversion to move to the next change in life, and if people didnt challenge beliefs, ideas, political viewpoints, we would all be sat in caves banging rocks together.  I know anyone reading this will be thinking WTF, but I DGAF, I dont want to dumb down, and I dont want to conform, with the normal society thing of getting married, having kids just to keep the future factories going.  We all have a legacy to leave, I dont know what mine is yet, but I am not going to worry about it, we all have one life to live, and I am buggered if I am going to spend the rest of mine worrying about what will happen after I am gone.

The only way to make a better future is to start now, look at the past and see where mistakes have been made, have a quick look at the now, I know it is difficult to, then shape the future accordingly.  The Government is making plans but they are for the short term, and is heading for the robbing peter to pay paul.  Anyway that is my thought for the day, I know people reading will be thinking "utter bollocks" but I dont care.  Freedom of speach and thought is something I will not give up easily.  so TTFN

Friday 18th March 2011

Ok, it is comic relief tonight, but i'm not really watching it, well some of it is funny, and I know it is a good cause, but I simply dont not like live variety tv, so been catching up with some of the programmes I missed whilst grafting.

One of my current favourites is the boat that Guy built, where Guy martin is building a boat and cramming in alsorts of things to celebrate the industry of the last couple of hundred years.  He reminds me a bit of Fred Dibner, well he goes everywhere in his overall, which look like they are ready for a oil change, making things for the boat, which is called The reckless.  It is a fanastic programme.  I like watching programmes on Turbo, and shed, where they rebuild things.  The american programmes usually revolve round building hot rods and custom cars but, good to watch.  beats watching the news, with the on going debacle in Japan, the latest cuts brought in by Toryboy, and the usual scare mongering, that the mass media is very good at.  Well bad news sell stories and papers.

I suppose other things going off are the sale of Kate Middletons dress, which made Young Bill take an interest, apparently it cost £30 to make and went for £78K.  Well the big day is not far off, and I bet the royal bed will see some action that night,.  I'm not really bothered about the whole thing, well I suppose it will bring a bit of relief to quite alot of peoples lives.  It will be all over the media so no escape.

Well Iam off to Stamford tomorrow on a job, so I think the camera will go with me.  So I will talk soon TTFN

Thursday, 17 March 2011

Thursday 17th March 2011

So this month is progressing and we are now halfway through it, It will soon be the bus rally season.  I am doing a few selected rallies, along with some friends.  I was reading through the buses rally guide, and planning some of the events I will be attending.

I worked some normalish hours today, well an 11am start and finishing at half 6ish.  I start early tomorrow, and off to Stamford on Saturday, as Delaine run in to the town I might take my camera along, well there are not many traditional independant bus companies left.

I am up and running on Flickr, with some pictures already loaded up.  There is supposed to be a new photosite being launched very soon and I am sent off for an invitation, I am still quite annoyed about the demise of fotopic, as I had spent 3 years building it up and put 5000+ images on there.  The main thing is I had the pics backed up, and when I get chance I think I will print off most of the pictures in print form, Just so I have hard copies.

One thing I have been listening to whilst driving home from working the lates has been radio 2 and radio 4.  I suppose it is a sign of getting older.  Most of the Dj's I have listened to over the years have gradually moved over to radio 2.  With Jo Whiley moving across very soon.

well I am going to get an early night So TTFN

Wednesday, 16 March 2011

Wednesday 16th march 2011

It is day 3 of my week of lates, well the last late as I will be back to normal tomorrow.  My trip last night went really well, taking 55mins door to door, from the pub in Sileby to Marstons Brewery in Burton on Trent.  It was very educational, but unfortunately I could not partake in the enjoyment of the product, one slight problem, I had a coach to drive.

So it is still crisis in japan as events unfold, and to add to the suffering of the people affected, the temperatures have dropped, while worker were evacuated from the nuclear power station when Radiation levels rose to dangerous levels.  Times like this and our own personal problems pale in to insignificance.

In the absence of fotopic, which had 5000+ of my images on display, I have created a Flickr account, Just so I can display my pictures.  So far 20 images are on and they are not just transport images either.

I write this while watching Prime Ministers question time, and I think, what a bunch of tossers our wonderful government, infact there not many of them I would give my vote to.  The topics are renaming Wooton Bassett to Royal? plus Gadaffi and lots of other things.

So it will be time to go to work very soon but I have an earlier finish tonight,  TTFN

Tuesday, 15 March 2011

tuesday 15th March 2011

Well it is day 2 of my week of lates, tonight I have a more local job, going to Burton on Trent, last nights journey was quite eventful, as the original coach I was driving had the wndscreen damaged by a piece of metal leaving the trailer it was on and heading on a collison course with the windscreen, luckily nobody was on the vehicle, and we managed to swop vehicles, It just goes to show just how easy it is to be involved in an accident on the motorway.

I picked the people up from Gatwick and I got them back safely, which is the name of the game.  I must admit that I enjoyed the drive, it is nice to be on the road during a long drive, I use it as thinking time, because the radio goes on and I have the open road ahead.

The roads are very quiet between 10pm and 5am, with the majority of the traffic being lorries doing their deliveries, but there is the danger of the black hole, which is the period between 2am and 5am, this is when concentration lowers as the body wants to sleep.  A long section of motorway does not help, so I will always vary my routes to keep me on my toes and break up the monotony.

I am thinking of my future, not just my career, but life in general, I suppose when you are in your 20's you think that you can take the world on, everything is there for the taking, but along comes 30, and it is a wake up call, I suppose my wake up call has been the events of the last 18 months, I suppose it was my long term goal to become self employed, I was career orientated to the point I neglected alot of my friends, in the pursuit of a dream which was not achieveable.  I was trying to do too much, and started chasing my tail.

When I turned 30, I was in a relationship, but given the distance we had to travel to see each other, as she was studying in Bath at the time, we grew apart, and the break up is something I will always regret, there are lots of things I regret, and lets just say i have made lots of bad choices over the years.

I must admit, I do question lots of things, such as when I moved to my current employer, I was questioning the move, I still do to be honest, but that can be a good thing, I suppose I should have made the move alot sooner, and I had let the grass grow beneath my feet, but when you feel passionate about a workplace, you do get a little bit too comfortable.

I suppose I am 33, and need to make some decisions sooner before it is too late, and the next thing I know I turn 40, I need to feel secure in alot of ways, but maybe it is also time to take some risks in life, you know say sod it what have I got too lose, turn the kaos of the last couple of years in to something positive.  Now that would be a legacy to build on

Monday, 14 March 2011

monday march 14th 2011

Ok, So the weekend has gone, and it is back to work, I am doing some late jobs this week, so wont really be around, until thursday.  To be honest I dont mind being out late at night, but I do sometimes feel isolated, but it has been along time since I have done a week of late jobs.

I suppose during my days at bellamy, I did the late runs, because alot of other people didnt want to do those runs, because of the nature of the job.  Those jobs were carrying bus loads of students round Nottingham which are fun at the start, but after time it wears you down, especially when you would have 200 people trying to get on a 78 seater double decker.  You would also be taking these people to a night club for a student night, and the only thing you wanted to do would be spending time with your friends and family. By the time you got home it would be 2-3am and everyone is fast asleep.

It has been an interesting weekend, as I went to the pub yesterday afternoon for a pint with my good buddy Simon, and to watch the Rugby match.  It was England v Scotland and quite a close match.  I more or less had a day off buses yesterday, which we sometimes need to do.  Having an interest in the work you do is a good thing but you do get overload.  We were planning some events to attend for the website, which reminds me I must do some work on that very soon.  Otherwise it is make sure things tickover.

I have finished off the chapter in my book, about the events of last year, which is going to be the cut off point for the book.

So I had better get ready for the week ahead of me, so TTFN

Saturday 12th march 2011

As I write this, I have only just got back in from doing the Bingo run, I have cracked open a beer, and I am going to the local hostelry with my good pal Mr Bramley tomorrow, as I dont have work until 1445 monday afternoon, I think my car will be parked up tomorrow.

Before I go on, I would like to pass my sorrow to the people of Japan, who suffered a Tsunami yesterday, and have several nuclear reactors in danger of meltdown, things like this put our own worries in to perspective.

I dont know what is happening with fotopic, but it has been down for the last few days, with rumours spreading, I have a site, which contains over 5000 images, but if the service is closed down, then it is a case of find another way of publishing my pictures, it is disapointing, as I have put 3 years in to the site

I am going to go for tonight, a larger blog will be here tomorrow,  but until then ttfn

Calumbus's thoughts: What is really going on in this world

Calumbus's thoughts: What is really going on in this world: "Ok, fuel prices are rising to record levels, with prices just short of £1.50 a litre in some parts of Leicester, and it is not to be just b..."

What is really going on in this world

Ok, fuel prices are rising to record levels, with prices just short of £1.50 a litre in some parts of Leicester, and it is not to be just blamed on the events in Lybia, No believe it or not fuel is heavily taxed, so in effect it is tax upon tax upon tax upon tax, well you get my drift, So running costs are rising for bus and haulage companies, but they are expected to charge the same price for the delivery of their services.

As I have said, if you look at the room you are sitting in, ask yourself what items in that room havent been in the back of a lorry at some point? I will leave you to answer that one.

I firmly believe that to lower the price of fuel, would get the economy going again, but the trouble is the government are quite happy to take the taxes. In some ways I hope the country grinds to a halt, then they will be sorry. I understand there are some fuel protests planned, and I support them, I dont want the country held to ransome, but it is important to get the wheels turning again, this country was one the workshop of the world, now it is a joke. We have given our industry away, or been overtaken by nations who took new ideas onboard.

Other things I have heard about are a planned march in London on the 26th march. This being organised by the TUC, but I bet lots of Anarchists and students will be in attendance. A couple of days ago I got reports of a court proceeding being hijacked by 300 protesters, who tried to arrest the Judge.

What is going on? well lots of people are angry, and hacked off with being taxed to death, having the cost of living rise, yet are expected to make do on what little they earn, while fat cat bankers, who probably went to the same public school as half the cabinet, get away with bonuses, and scumbags are allowed to cheat benefits, while those who should be entitled to it wont claim or told they cant claim because they dont meet the crieteria. I dont blame the last government, I also blame all of the other governments before, who added to the build up. The tossers are wasting our money.

I have worked hard and I have paid my taxes and I am proud. I dont want anything from those tossers, but I want to see my taxes go towards worthy causes, and not fighting a futile war in some baron desert country, just so some rich tossers can get control of the oil, to feed their wealth. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Right rant over, and I feel better, I better stay calm, So I have just been writing abit more and I am really getting into it. it is becoming something to be proud of, and I will be pulling no punches either.

I am going to get on now, hope you like tonights picture, I think it is very fitting. TTFN

Saturday, 5 March 2011

The last week or so,

Well what have I been up to today, well I went out, to find that one of the places I wanted to go to was closed, I had my camera on my person, and proceeded to take some pictures, Now I have been hearing that premiere are to lose the 3 triaxles Omnilinks, but they were in service today. Another change is that the university Hoppa buses are now being seen far and wide, and not necessarily on the job for which they were intended, we have had one in Loughborough on numerous occasions.

So I was walking round taking a few shots, worked my way up to the Market Square, but my battery light on the camera came on, So my visit was cut short, so I came home. Sunday was spent at the shed where I keep the bus.

I spent the day, sorting through some photos ready for the sales stall, I must have sifted through a couple of thousand during the day, although I did pop off to go and see a friend, who I had not seen since last year, and sadly, with all the things going off in my life, I regret not going to see him sooner, but his health is on the mend which is good.

I have been doing a bit more writing, and I must admit that I am enjoying thinking back to past times and writing about them, and it amazes me to think of all the things I have done in life. I know i have never got married or had kids, but that is my choice.

I had to laugh watching the one show, as our glorious prime minister was on. Well I suppose it was pancake day and they needed a tosser, ok before you moan, I think all politicians are tossers.

Going back to my writing, there is some that I do find frustrating, and it usually happens when I am going full pelt down the road. An idea comes in to my head, which I think is good, but when I do write it down then it looks shit, or I cant put down what was in my head, because I have forgotten what I was thinking. I do carry a note back and wrote the frontispiece today. The book is intended to be a tell it like it is story. I am researching notable world events that have happened during my life, to put things in to perspective.

So I am going to do a bit more so TTFN

Thursday 3rd march 2011 The end of an era

Well I have been hearing rumours that my former employer has gone bust, so has ended another chapter of my life, well not just come to an end, but book firmly shut, put on the shelf and on to the next volume.

Lots of the other firms are covering the work at short notice, So the once familar double deckers that buzzed in and out of the uni campus at night are no more, the only reminders are the pictures I took over the years.

I am in the process of making a new life for myself, I am settling in at my new employer, then I can look at everything else.

This has happened only weeks after Veolia, sold its Nottingham operation to Premiere Travel, and pulled out of Nottingham altogether, The Veolia operation had been running down for several years. They were losing lots of contracts, and the mix was not right. Maybe had the wrong calibre of drivers, I dont know

So 2 operators have closed the doors, but with the cut backbacks in council contracts, maybe alot more will fall by the wayside, or have to move with the times to survive. Only time will tell and there are lots of legislation changes coming up, the day when everything has to be accessible to all, are fast approaching, and I can see a day when second hand low floor buses will command a high price. I also heard it muted that someone wanted to bring in to make it law that all school buses would have to be yellow. I hope not as to me this presents the wrong image, yes the buses are easy to see, but yellow is the natural colour for danger.

My life book is progressing, I have been writing about events of last year, while they are still fresh in my mind, but I have gone back to my long term memory and covered my last year at school.

Events will get interesting after that, and I hope the number of subjects and pages will increase. The it will be time to go through my photographic archive to pick some photographs to include. My intention is to have a manuscript to work to, and send some copies to a select band of people to have read, check how the book reads, iron out any grammatical errors. Then it will be time to get it published and hopefully sell some copies.

My intention is to tell my story and show how I see the world, how my interest in transport and lots of other things developed. I also intend to show how I have formed alot of my opinions. It should be an interesting project. We all have a story to tell, but how many actually think about putting down those experiences.

Anyway going back to the bus companies, it is a case of see how things develope, I know the list of casualties is likely to rise, so putting my photographers hat on, I should record as much of the current scene as posssible, before it all quickly becomes the past. TTFN

Wednesday 3rd March 2011

Well we are in to another month, I know on my last blogg I had a bit of a rant about Jordan, I stand by what I said, but what else is going on in the world? well there is the protests in Lybia, with Gadaffi defiantly saying that his people are behind him, but looking at the scene they say overwise.

So the dictator who ordered a plane to be blown up high above Scotland, and helped arm the IRA clings to power, why didnt the western Nations sort this greasy haired twat,( who looks like a bad version of Kid Creole with a hint of 1970's spanish eurovision contestant), ? The answer is his country had oil. So the next thing will be a so called peace keeping exercise, which in reality is a way of taking control of the oil. Gadaffi will cling to power to the end. Times are changing indeed.

Another subject has been the price of fuel, which is over £1.30 a litre in some places. The government wont put the prices down, because of all the tax they get, in effect it is tax upon tax upon tax. To be honest the fuel prices need to come down, and I think this would help to get the economy going again. I have heard some fuel protests are planned and to be honest I am in support of them. If you think about it there are few items in your house that havent been in the back of a lorry at some point. But like what I have said before, I am just a citizen in this modern day Pompei, well not quite.

So I have been doing more writng, and it is interesting reflecting on past events in my life. Lots has happened in that time. We all live life, but how many of us write things down? Have a go it is worth it.

I have a full weekend off work this weekend, so I am going to get some jobs out the way.

Anyway I am off to bed now so TTFN
